As part of the University’s Strategic Mandate to disseminate knowledge and foster relationships with its publics, Management of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), has inaugurated the KNUST Media Management Board. The inauguration which took place at the Council Chamber was held on 20th July, 2020.
The Seven-member Committee was sworn into office by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kwasi Obiri-Danso, who again led them through the Oath of Secrecy. Members of the Committee chaired by Mr. Kenneth Ashigbey are Mr. Samuel Attah-Mensah, Dr. Samuel Kotei Nikoi, Professor Wilson Agyare, Dr. Daniel Norris Bekoe, Dr. Eric Francis Eshun, all members, and Mr. James Kwasi Oberko, as Secretary.
Professor Obiri-Danso, in his remarks, stressed the need for media personnel to come together to uplift the visibility of the University. He was of the view that the media plays a significant role in promoting KNUST to the outside world. He pledged the support of management of the university to the board in the execution of its work.

Mr. Kenneth Ashigbey noted that most institutions are promoted by their media stations. He, therefore, indicated that it was appropriate for KNUST to take a keen interest in projecting and selling its achievements through its media. He hoped that the board would be given the necessary cooperation to make all KNUST Media platforms among the best five in the country.
He further advised members of the board to work together for the good of the University and the country at large.
